About Incontri
In Italian the word "Incontri" means: "encounters" or "chance meetings".
Incontri invites you to share your passion for learning about Italy, its language, heritage, culture and cuisine.
Incontri programs are designed to go beyond Italian grammar and vocabulary to experience the many facets of Italian life and culture.
Incontri aims to help you acquire Italian language skills to allow you to confidently express yourself in Italian to Italians.
Each language / cooking session will:
- teach you to cook Italian dishes from different regions of Italy with flair and ease so that you can recreate the multi-sensory food experiences at home.
- confidently use the correct pronunciation when selecting items such as, "prosciutto", "bocconcini", "parmigiano", etc. from your local Italian delicatessen
- get you conversing in Italian about the food you will be cooking, and
- be able to order directly from an Italian menu when dining at an Italian restaurant
Incontri offers a range of programs to progress your current level of knowledge and proficiency. The practical and conversational components are designed to reinforce the learning of vocabulary, phrases and sentences relating to interests, such as cuisine, travel, culture, etc.

Mission
Incontri tailors Italian language programs at various levels of knowledge and proficiency and according to the learner's needs in comprehension, written and conversational Italian. To aid the learning process, Incontri develops programs that deliver a practical component to assist learning and facilitates immersion of the knowledge and experience. Immersion takes place through culinary, travel and cultural experiences.
